I understand that the "upselling" does need to occur for oil change facilities to be profitable. I just feel a little TOO MUCH profit was attempted to be made on my oil change.
Waited a long time to get my SUV cleaned to only find out that it was not thoroughly cleaned like it was supposed to be. I paid for the most expensive service so I expected excellent service. I had to go back because the interior was left dirty. Visible spots on my leather interior were left untouched. When I asked why my SUV was not cleaned correctly I was told they don't clean everything. Then what is the point of offering a service that is not actually provided. Extremely disappointed!!!! They also kept a white towel that I had in my SUV!
On my way home, i stopped at the auto parts store and bought a new belt and an antifreeze tester. Both were inexpensive, the belt was $36 and the tester was a few bucks. Upon getting home i tested my antifreeze. It tested to -20F. Not hardly bad i think. I then borrowed another tester and got the same results. I started to change my serpentine belt, until i notices that my belt actually looks really good. No real cracks in it. My much smaller and even less expensive air conditioning belt does have a lot of cracking and does need to be replaced.
Good service and they do a nice job. I have been going here for a while and love it.
Very happy with the service here. Love the monthly unlimited options they offer. Staff is very patient and friendly. My children love looking for the monkeys hanging inside... made them much less afraid of the brushes and noises.
I have been to Drive and Shine probably 5 or 6 times in the last year or two for oil changes. Normally it is in the evening hours and I am in and out. No problems, no issues.
I always pass this place when I go to Walmart so today I gave it a try. I paid $27 and it was terrible. The wash didn't get my car clean. I paid for tire shine and it didn't even come on in the automated wash. Thank goodness the nice guy who cleaned my interior touched my tires up for me. However, my door jams weren't cleaned good at all. I've paid less for hand carwashes, needless to say... I will NOT be returning
This past weekend i had stopped in the late morning for an oil change. No sooner had my hood been popped the manager on duty told the others working on my truck that the serpentine belt was shot, it was cracked all over the place. The offered to change it for 79.99. I declined the service. I was then told that my antifreeze was no good and that it would lead to my engine cracking when it froze. In the background i could see the tech waving the antifreeze tester in the air. I declined this service as well.
